Need to Know
As you will be using a computer to access your course, you do need to have basic computer skills. But don’t worry – you don’t have to be a genius with computers to use e-learning very successfully! Once you are able to access and browse the Internet you are off to a good start. For some courses you may need to send and receive e-mail. If you are doing a course that requires you to send in essays or other work for assessment, it may be useful to have basic typing skills and knowledge of word-processing, however, for many courses, this is not essential.
